A Florida Resort Like No Other

Cheeca Lodge is a relaxing retreat surrounded by the charm of the Florida Keys and has been an important part of the Islamorada community for decades. Cheeca Lodges history began in 1946, when Mrs. Clara Mae Downey, owner of the Olney Inn outside Washington, D.C., built the Islamorada Olney Inn on the present site. The next owners were the heirs of the A & P grocery chain, Carl and Cynthia Che-Che Twitchell, who completely rebuilt the resort and renamed it Cheeca by merging their names.

All rooms include pillow-top mattresses, sumptuous linens, plasma screen televisions, DVD and CD players, and wireless high-speed Internet. Our rooms are air-conditioned and include paddle-ceiling fans, and some have private balconies.

Two-line phones with voice mail, in-room coffee service, refrigerator stocked with water and soft drinks and in-room safes are also available in each room for your convenience. All of our guestrooms are non-smoking.
